Ratings

BMO was given an overall rating which will be given below:

Physical Workplace - Rating: A
The banks head office has an upscale environment with marvellous views of the landscape, inside the building there is an art collection with over 6, 000 pieces, some of which date back to the 19th century.  They also have an employee lounge, nap room; religious observance room and even valet parking. BMO also operates a university called the Institute for Learning which is equally as impressive as head office. Thus, their overall rating for physical workplace is above-average.

Work Atmosphere & Communications - Rating: B+
BMO’s employees dress business causal and are given casual dress Fridays. While at work they have an open and friendly atmosphere as employees are allowed to participate in activities such as listening to music while working or organize social events. As for communications, BMO allows employees to give their feed-back with internet surveys, email suggestion boxes and so forth. Therefore, their rating was very good.

Financial Benefits & Compensation – Rating: A+
As mentioned in an earlier post, BMO has wide assortment of benefits and compensations it provides to supply to its employees and as a result has been rated exceptional.

Health & Family-Friendly Benefits - Rating: B+
BMO’s health plans are managed by Sun Life and Great West Life, the overall rating of them is very good.

Vacation & Personal Time-Off – Rating: B
For new employees they can receive three weeks off for vacation time after their first year of employment. This can be extended further after working for 10 years with BMO. Likewise, Personal Care Days can be applied for from employees. To conclude, the rating for vacation and personal time- off is average.

Employee Engagement – Rating: A
BMO employees will receive performance evaluations annual which managers are thoroughly trained beforehand on how to conduct these evaluations. In summary, the rating for employee engagement is above-average.

Training & Skills Development – Rating: A+
In this category BMO was rated exceptional because they provide course and training through their university with 100% coverage for their tuition.

Community Involvement – Rating A+
BMO as previously stated is integrated into its community in every way possible. BMO and their employees support local groups, charities and associations. Thus, for community involvement they received a rating of exceptional.

This concludes BMO’s overall ratings, and it just further shows how remarkable their efforts are as a bank and how they support their diverse workforce.
